62 Unto Eirene
It was a long time afore I met her,
Though I always knew her name and her ways.
When I saw her, my love was well in place
Among my memories and heart, all dear.
When we met, she did not know me at all.
I was a face among the many'd crowd.
Courtiers and Knights, Royalty all 'round
Did not allow her gaze on me to fall.
Why she saw me, I do not know or care,
But when she did she spoke with eyes most warm.
Her hand did she place upon my right arm
And her sleeve she did give for me to wear.
I have loved her as long as I have lived.
She loves me now, and her my life I'll give.
