The Diary of Eros
The Diary of Eros is in chapters
And many are the ones to you inscribed
Tho' each and every word and phrasing captures
Some part of you, much more within resides.
Each piece of prose and poetry stands truly
To speak thy virtues, gifts and wonders fine
And as life grants thee more of bountiful beauty
Love's book is richened with each added line.
Forests grow their trees and I grow wordy, too.
You grow in appendices, addendums,
Prefaces and margin notes and e`en here, too
Would I add to the weight of Heaven's tomes.
Scribes of Eros may ne`re from this take note
But you at least have proof of what I wrote.
