The Jaffa |

The Jaffa are a fictional alien
race, in the television series Stargate SG-1. They
are a mutation of humanity, descended from
genetically modified people from Earth who were
kidnapped by the Goa'uld using the Stargate during
antiquity. They were modified to serve as warriors
and incubators for larval Goa'uld.

A weapon of Goa'uld design. Several feet in length, its head divides into four parts when activated, releasing powerful bolts of plasma energy. The weapon is powered by a small, green container of liquid naquadah. It is generally considered to be a weapon of terror, since its ability to accurately target a moving object, let alone a motionless one, is less reliable than some human weapons that have pin-point accuracy. |

Temple of Hathor Dendera, Egypt .
The image above is a relief
on the walls of Hathor's Temple, Dendera Egypt...
The same temple that has the famous "lightbulbs"
depicted on the walls.
Here we see a group of Jaffa Warriors with staff weapons. Notice the face of the closest one... he looks neither Egyptian or Nubian. They have very broad shoulders and are muscular, a depiction rarely seen in Egytian reliefs and they have a high forehead. Coincidence? |
