Natural Raw Magnetite Healing Stone Specimen Canada

Mineralogy: magnetic iron oxide
Approx Size: 2" in x 1" in
This
is for the exact piece shown in the photo and I have more available;
just check out my other listings. I also have other healing stones as
well. It is a heavy mineral and is an iron ore. This particular piece
is originally from Canada. Also, despite it's name, not all magnetite
starts out magnetic in fact most of it isn't. The ones that are
naturally magnetic are called lodestones. This particular one is NOT
magnetic.
Fun Fact:
Many
will say that it is the same or similar to spinel which is simply not
true. It belongs to the spinel group but that is not the same thing as
"being a spinel" although that too is in the group. It is a
classification of any mineral species that has a particular formulation
in it's chemical structure. Think of it like; if you have a ten shirts
zigzag-zag pattern versus then with a wavy pattern and you separate
them that way in your closet. That's basically how the spinel group is
determined compared to other minerals.

Mental: Stimulates aligning oneself with higher ideals; helps differentiate between useful and useless things
