Mystic Lands

Purpose of the Mystic Lands Fantasy Guild

Over the years there has been an increase in participants at Renaissance Faires and other Festivals portraying Fae and Fantasy characters. This has met with much resistance in the past from the more Historical crowd, but the persistence of patrons proves that it will continue to become ever more popular. Having done extensive research, the general consensus is that Patrons Rule, for few venues will turn a way a paying patron. For those interested you can read a discussion on this topic on our editorial page.

Our group has been created for those people that are building a fantasy character and those who have done them in the past. It is our intent to bring like minded souls together here and build a network of resources so people can make really awesome and believable characters come to life, not just toss on a cheap Halloween costume and wave a sword around.

There are many out there who have "hung up their wings" as it were. But perhaps you could pass on your knowledge, your stories and your ideas to others. We have space to create a database that will be open for all to share.

There are many out there that for various reasons are stuck at home. We need researchers and group members that can chat and share ideas, to keep the group alive and growing. Join us and become a part of Mystic Lands and find a home.

Sharing of ideas, helping others to be the best character they can be, friendship and a sense of belonging. That's what we offer in the Mystic Lands. Go forth and seek out others and bring them here, make them feel at home.

We are creating photo galleries, and data bases for information sharing. There will be merchant links and faire listings. We hope to add an events calendar, but seeing as this guild is international it may be useful only as a "what's happening" info page. Hopefully some will be able to find something in their area.

For this to work we need active participation. Doesn't have to be daily, once a week would be okay, and if you have any ideas or suggestions don't hesitate to pass them along.

We have created a membership package. This is NOT required to participate with the guild, but if you wish the added benefits of being a card carrying member check out our membership area.
