Dark Creature I sit upon
the bulwarks of my castle, gazing upon the
coming storm. Far off in
the distance I spy, fleeing before the violent
onslaught, I shiver
slightly, the cold winds dancing o'er my naked
flesh. I tremble
now yet its not from cold nor fear, for I sense
no harm. No this
cannot be, I must be in a trance, a waking
dream. She lands
beside me now, mesmerizing me by her presence.
Many days I
have sat upon my walls, naked to the elements.
A tale she
relates to me, of having passed this way before.
I looked
upon her then with longing, the lonely years
gone by. The storm
raged on above our heads, but we felt it not.
