The Eye of God |

"Mankind has broken the bonds
of Earth and has ventured forth into the
very Heavens themselves. With new found
power and tools we have peered into the
wonders of the Universe, and have dared to
look into the face of the Creator...
and found Him Looking back!"
"Astronomers looked 8,000 light-years into the cosmos with the Hubble Space Telescope, and it seemed that the eye of God was staring back." |

In the Beginning...
... there was Voltaire, Le Marchand, Ben Franklin and George Washington "If any one doubts the presence of Masonic and occult influences at the time the Great Seal was designed, he should give due consideration to the comments of Professor Charles Eliot Norton of Harvard, who wrote concerning the unfinished pyramid and the All-Seeing Eye which adorned the reverse of the seal, as follows: "The device adopted by Congress is practically incapable of effective treatment; it can hardly (however artistically treated by the designer) look otherwise than as a dull emblem of a Masonic fraternity." THE FATHER OF THE AMERICAN REPUBLIC
Chapter Eleven from: "Throughout his life, Francis Bacon's fondest hope was the, creation of a Utopia across the Atlantic, the realization of his "New Atlantis" in the form of a society of free men, governed by sages and scientists, in which his Freemasonic and Rosicrucian principles would govern the social, political and economic life of the new nation. It was for this reason why, as Lord Chancellor, he took such an active interest in the colonization of America, and why he sent his son to Virginia as one of the early colonists. For it was in America, through the pen of Thomas Paine and the writings of Thomas Jefferson, as well as through the revolutionary activities of his many Rosicrucian-Freemasonic followers, most prominent among whom were George Washington and Benjamin Franklin, that he hoped to create a new nation dedicated to his political philosophy." of the Great Seal of the United States The Academic View "It is now time for all Americans to grasp the symbolic significance within our national Coat of Arms. Through it our Founding Fathers speak to us." After six weeks of much work and discussion,
the committee seemed on the verge of a
recommendation. Ben Franklin described the
proposed Seal in this manner: “Moses standing
on the shore, and extending his hand over the sea,
thereby causing the same to overwhelm Pharaoh who is
sitting in an open chariot, a crown on his head and
a sword in his hand. Rays from a Pillar of
Fire in the clouds reaching to Moses to express that
he acts by Command of Deity. Motto: Rebellion to
tyrants is obedience to God.”1 But in the end, the
committee was not completely satisfied and their
report to Congress was tabled. Rest of Article The

of the Great Seal of the United States The Masonic View American Masons first met in 1720 in Boston. Within half a century Freemasons were meeting in the lodge rooms of Boston and at the Green Dragon Tavern there, plotting the overthrow of the British colonial authorities. While many non-Masons were also involved, Masonic historians say that three of the best-known firebrands - Peter Faneuil, Paul Revere and John Hancock - were Masons. With many of the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence Freemasons, it is possible that when the great seal of the United States was to be designed, Masons were among those asked to help prepare it. While it is hard to know today what the designers were thinking some modern Masons point out some interesting associations. |

of the Great Seal of the United States The Rosicrucian View Above the pyramid is the Latin phrase "Annuit Coeptis," meaning "a bold beginning" or "He (God) has approved our undertakings," adopted from Virgil's Aeneid. It has also been interpreted as meaning "It [the Eye of Providence] is favorable to our undertakings" or "He favors our undertakings." Below the pyramid, a scroll reads, Novus Ordo Seclorum, meaning "New Order of the Ages." It refers to 1776 as the beginning of the American new era. The actual Translation of the words are below, showing why the diverse meanings occur... annuit - annuerre annuo annui annutus
{verb} coeptis - coeptus coepta coeptum
{adj} There are rumors that a Mysterious man in black left the seal of the USA to the founders, that the Rosicrucians left the Great Seal of the United States. The Rosicrucians were also the instigators of the French Revolution, but in this instance were not wholly successful, owing to the fact that the fanaticism of the revolutionists could not be controlled and the Reign of Terror ensued... This Mysterious man was known as "The Professor" and his story is detailed above in the two accounts "The Child's Own Losses" and The Mysterious Rosicrucian who was the father of the American Republic |
