The Following text is taken from our first year as the Isle of Standauffish, when we were still only a Shire. Since then some of the founding groups have left and others have joined us in an ongoing Living History. For the whole story visit our main page and take the tour.

We have participated in the Las Vegas Renaissance Faire as the Isle of Standauffish for several years now, and we hope to play a major role in the faire in the coming years. Our Guild has as its theme an Island, on which one will find many “Ports of Call” which consist of separate Free City States, all with their own theme, yet all working together for the common good, hence our motto “Unicum in Diversicum” {Unity in Diversity}.
The capitol of the Island is the “Port of Shalott”, a free port containing merchants, guilds, taverns and our stage for all performers. Ships from all over the Knowne Worlde dock here unloading the best wares that could be found in the period. The “Rogue's Cove Pirates”, have a craggy cove on the northwest side of the Isle, well suited to the needs  of  true swash bucklers. “Omar Kharim's Oasis” {Dance Guild} and  “The Dancers of the Blue Moon” now known as "Ky-Sar-S" have both sojourned from Morocco to make camp on the Isle, providing a Middle Eastern flavour with belly and ethnic dancers, and musicians and drummers for the entertainment of all.

Buried deep in  the mountainous south end of the Isle, you will find our Monastery, “The Abbey of Chelsea”. In the lush, fertile rolling plains of the south east, you will find “Mediterraneus”, an Italian Renaissance city, complete with the remains of an old Roman fortification. Works are in progress to have a “Jousting Guild” on the Isle in the near future, a full Fencing salon, "Sallet D'Arms" and we have our most active Guild, the "Dragons Claw Inn" Culinary and Brewers Guild.

Within our Guild we have also added a fun and fantasy section, "Mysts of Avalon". This group covers Arthurian legends and explores the Realm of Faeries and Elves. We have found this group to be a lot of fun.
